The Migrant Access Project is pleased to announce, that after a long pause of 10 months, the project was re-launched on the 9th of May.
The Migrant Access Project (more commonly referred to as MAP) is a council led project, that was set up over ten years ago, to work with diverse communities. It works to ensure new and emerging communities in Leeds get an understanding of local services/infrastructure, so that they can navigate the city so to speak (much like a map). The project is delivered through a series of training sessions and provides people the opportunity to consult with services (providing a 2-way form of communication). Once people have completed certain aspects of the training, they become Migrant Community Networkers (MCNs) and many go on to get involved in community projects.
