helpinleeds.com has been going since 2015, and is currently being updated. helpinleeds.com is a directory of support for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants, and lists more than 200 agencies that help people in Leeds.
Over the next few weeks, we will be updating the website, including
- changing the front page – to make it easier for people to find help.
- increasing the profile of refugee community organisations (by asking Leeds Refugee Forum for some extra help on this bit)
- adding new orgs/deleting entries that are no longer valid (eg Solicitors no longer providing Legal Aid for Immigration matters)
- emailing all the orgs we know about already, asking them to check/update their entries
If you work or volunteer for an organisation helping asylum seekers, refugees or other migrants, please can you check your entry and let us know what needs to change? Or let us know if we need to add an entry for something that does not exist?
