Recruiting current or former unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children as participants to a Care Leavers study, January 24

We are researchers working on a research study led by the University of Oxford. Our research study explores care leavers’ experiences leaving Local Authority care. We would like to find out more about the experiences of a diverse range of young adult care leavers and how they leave care. We aim to find ways to improve information, support and services.

We would like to ask your help to share recruitment materials within your organisation, teams and/or members. Please find attached the following:

  1. Recruitment poster
  2. Two Participant information sheets (one is an EasyRead version)

Please feel free to share via social media, print flyers to post in the building or print them out to give to interested young people. We also have a recruitment video that can be viewed here.

Who Can Participate?

  • Care leavers who are 18-25 years old
  • Care leavers who come from different backgrounds, also care leavers who had unaccompanied asylum seeking or refugee status
