A global law firm, DLA Piper, helps individuals who can’t access legal aid, non-governmental organisations, United Nations agencies, and social entrepreneurs. Through this work, the firm aims to promote the rule of law and access to justice. The firm runs several pro bono projects to support and empower people seeking asylum, refugees and other under-served groups in the UK.
The firm`s pro bono team is currently conducting a piece of research, to identify active refugees led organisations and communities in the country. DLA Piper want to better understand the needs and barriers facing organisations working with refugees and people seeking asylum, to explore the possibility of expanding pro bono support to them.
Target organisations and communities should be led by refugees and work to help refugees and other under-served groups in their integration in the UK.
