Participants needed for Leeds Beckett University research study: Exploring food insecurity among asylum seekers in West Yorkshire and the role of third sector support, from the perspective of professionals working within third sector organisations.

The aim of this study is to explore the driving factors, and impacts of, food insecurity among asylum seekers, as well as the role and capacity of third sector organisations in providing support, to promote understanding of the unique challenges faced by this population, highlight issues and areas of need, and explore ideas and resources required for future action.  The research will be conducted as part of an undergraduate level dissertation.

Anyone working within an organisation dealing with any form of food aid/food security, in either a paid or voluntary capacity, and working with asylum seekers as a part of their work, is eligible to take part.  Participants must be over the age of 18, and happy to take part in a one-to-one interview lasting approximately 45-60 minutes, conducted either via Microsoft Teams or in person, according to participant preferences.

If interested, please email [email protected] and further details will be provided.
