Job: Project Worker for Safeguarding in Faith communities 7.5 hrs/wk £6kpa actual – Voluntary Action Leeds

Do you have experience working in Faith settings and the ability to work in partnership on an exciting new project supporting organisations to better safeguard children? Are you motivated by making a difference for third sector organisations and the communities they work in?

We have an exciting opportunity to join VAL as our Project Worker for Safeguarding in Faith communities.

We are looking for someone to lead on a project working with faith-based communities to co-produce faith-specific versions of our Safeguarding ‘BASICS’ training, and support safeguarding leads from faith-based organisations to deliver this training within their communities. You will work with the wider Safeguarding team to support faith-based organisations to improve their safeguarding practice, share good practice with peers, and establish strong policies safeguarding children.

  • Bringing partnerships together
  • Co-production and co-design with communities
  • Interpreting policy and practice for a non specialist audience
  • Developing training materials

Salary: NJC Scale SO1 SP 23 – 25, £30,151 pro rata (£6,030 actual), 7.5 hours per week.

Contract: This is a fixed-term contract (12 months). We would welcome discussions around secondment opportunities.
