Working with Interpreters in a Mental Health Setting – Free for Leeds Practitioners

Provided by Solace – we are offering free training on working therapeutically with people who need an interpreter.  Delivered on Zoom, however available to Leeds practitioners only (requirement of the funding).

Who is this training for?
This training is for anyone working in Leeds in a mental health setting who may encounter someone with limited English language – in particular, therapists and support workers who work one to one, but non-direct support staff may also benefit from this training.

You will gain the confidence to use interpreters well, learning practical and technical tips, discovering:

  • Choosing an interpreter
  • Briefing the Interpreter
  • Conducting the Session
  • Debriefing
