Tales of a City Tours
Tales of a City Tours is the only tour operator of its kind in the UK – a social enterprise which provides a unique perspective on the city of Leeds through cultural walking tours led by tour guides with a refugee background.
We aim to promote cross-cultural understanding by creating a space for different communities to learn from one other, focusing particularly on working with refugees and raising awareness of their diverse cultural heritage and individual experiences.
At the moment, we are a small group of volunteers, who meet regularly to develop stories for the tours. However we are really keen to grow our support network so we can do much more, much quicker! So keep checking back, as we’ll keep adding new volunteer roles as we go… We would love to work with you!
We’re holding our next Volunteers’ Meeting next Monday 20th August, 6pm, at Leeds Beckett University
