Research into Type 2 Diabetes and Mental Health

Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is running a research study led by University of York assessing a new self-management programme for people with severe mental illness and type 2 diabetes.

We would like our research participants to represent the diverse communities of Leeds, including refugees, asylum seekers and migrants living in Leeds.

Participants can now take part in English and Urdu.

Participants who volunteer their time will be invited to 3 research appointments where we would take various physical and mental health measures. £10 shopping vouchers are provided at all research appointments, to thanks participant for their time. Participants have a 50% chance of taking part in the new self-management programme.

If you believe you have a severe mental illness and type 2 diabetes and would like to discuss further, please contact Nafeesah, on [email protected] or 07989414129.
