Refugee Council are looking to recruit volunteers to welcome newly arrived asylum seekers to Leeds. Volunteers will work alongside another volunteers to meet and guide asylum seekers to specific local areas to help introduce them to their local community. This will include guiding a group of clients around their local area (i.e. the local library, church, chemist, supermarket). Alternatively, this may include taking one or more clients to a specific location on an ad hoc basis i.e. taking a client to their first volunteering session.
All volunteering will take place during the hours 9am – 5pm, Monday-Friday.
