Political Support from LCC to help halt Home Office evictions

An excellent letter here from the Cllr Blake – leader of LCC, addressed to The Home Secretary and Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

We’re exceptionally proud of the the support shown by LCC, and for the lobbying of LMP members who have been lobbying hard behind the scenes.

However, given recent Policy docs outling the Govts intention to use rough sleeping as a reason to deport people, perhaps the Home Office evictions are part of a coordinated series of measures to re-activate and intensify the Hostile Environment.

And, let’s hope this letter receives slightly longer shrift than the letter from 800+ legal types asking the PM and Home Secretary to stop making hostile remarks and apologise for comments made at Conference.
