Intercultural communication – a training resource for volunteers supporting refugees and asylum seekers from the Centre for Intercultural Development

This document has been shared with kind permission of John at http://diversityworks.co.uk and share following the positive feedback we got for the BBC article on anti-racist approaches to spoken communication.

This resource is designed to support better and more fruitful communications with people who speak English as a second or other language.

The guide accompanies training delivered by Diversityworks (module 4, if you’re interested) but stands alone as a resource – with particularly helpful sections on Arabic [pp18-32] and Farsi [pp33-38]
