This document has been shared with kind permission of John at http://diversityworks.co.uk and share following the positive feedback we got for the BBC article on anti-racist approaches to spoken communication.
This resource is designed to support better and more fruitful communications with people who speak English as a second or other language.
The guide accompanies training delivered by Diversityworks (module 4, if you’re interested) but stands alone as a resource – with particularly helpful sections on Arabic [pp18-32] and Farsi [pp33-38]
The attached version is as a Word document ā copies can be supplied on direct request to me at [email protected] (as author and as Director of CICD, Centre for Intercultural Development). SIETAR UK can provide a PDF version available along with other print materials at https://sietar.co.uk/raas-2/
Anyway, see what you think – and please share any other resources you feel would benefit others working in this space.
