An all-day family gala celebrating the vibrant communities living in Lincoln Green with live music, free food and activities in the brand-new Roxby Community Garden.
Join us from 1-7pm on May 21st for workshops and performances from Opera North, Monika Dutta, Phil Tang, Leeds Conservatoire and an exclusive sneak peek at Mafwa Theatre’s upcoming puppet show ‘Michka & Me’.
We’ll be unveiling art installations created by members of our eco-art club and there will be activity stations where you can create seed bombs, build bee hotels, get your face painted, sow some seeds, enjoy some free food, have a dance and more!
Commissioned by Leeds 2023 as a part of My World My City My Neighbourhood, in partnership with Leeds City Council, Arts Council England & Lincoln Green & Mabgate Neighbourhood Forum.
The Family Flourish Day is part of ‘Flourish’, Mafwa Theatre’s programme of activities and events running throughout spring and summer 2023 that have been designed to bring the communities of Lincoln Green together in celebration of the Roxby Community Garden launch. Flourish will showcase work by local and national artists exploring our relationship with nature and the importance of sustainability, community and creative expression.
