Please find links below to a series of Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) Lessons Learned Written Briefs. The aim of these briefs is to help front-line practitioners become familiar with some of the issues identified in local DHRs. The briefs are one-sided documents summarising learning and highlighting key good practice points. Each brief focuses on one case and gives some practical guidance on how to improve responses to people affected by domestic violence.
Safer Leeds has undertaken a number of Domestic Homicide Reviews as part of its statutory requirement under the Domestic Violence Crime & Victims Act 2004 and learning from these is shared in a number of ways. The briefs are one of a range of ways we are disseminating learning and we hope they offer an accessible and timely opportunity to assist service providers to improve their response to domestic violence and abuse.
