Do you sometimes struggle to see the posts on the LMP blog?

Every once in a while someone contacts us to tell us they can’t see something on the LMP blog.

Most often it’s that they cannot see a document that’s been embedded.

For most people using a PC and a popular browser (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera), pressing refresh should be enough: Hold down Ctrl and press F5.

For Mac users: hold down ⌘ Cmd and ⇧ Shift key and then press R.

If this doesn’t work, then the problem is either

a) that the LMP site is broken, or

b) your Browser settings won’t allow you to see/download embedded content.

The most common reason for b) is that your IT department believe that their colleagues’ browsing habits might pose a threat to their network security (in which case, unless you’re their boss, there’s nothing you can do about it except use your own device/phone).

That said, you might be able to enable Java script yourself (unless they’ve locked you out of your settings, too). You can find instructions to turn it on here https://www.enable-javascript.com

Sometimes you can also get around disabled locked down settings by installing another browser (like Chrome or Firefox) which enables javascript by default – but we wouldn’t want to encourage you to break your IT/Internet policies at work, so best talk to your boss before you try this method, eh?

Finally, if none of this is works (or you’re using a phone or tablet*) please get in touch with us at [email protected] and we’ll send you the document directly.

*sorry, there are just too many potential variations of devices, browser settings for us to cover everything.
