Adult Safeguarding Awareness: people with no recourse to public funds – 22nd November 2016

Following the success of their first event in July, LASSN and Leeds Adult Safeguarding Board will be running Safeguarding Awareness Training a second time, 14:00 – 16:30 on 22nd November 2016.

It provides a short introduction to safeguarding, with a particular focus on people at risk of harm or exploitation and who may also not have recourse to public funds.

The training is aimed at front line staff and volunteers of organisations working with asylum seekers, refugees, and other migrants.

It assumes no prior knowledge, and is based on the successful Safeguarding Awareness Course, ‘Safeguarding Adults: The Role of the person Raising a Concern.’

It will provide an overview of the signs and symptoms of abuse and how safeguarding adults aims to support those at risk of abuse and neglect.

Tickets for this event are limited, and the first event sold out in 2 days, so please sign up early, by clicking here.
