Conversation Club Leeds continues to meet twice a week
Tuesdays: The Holbeck Club, Jenkinson Lawn, LS11 9QX 1.30 – 3.30pm
Thursdays: Mill Hill Chapel, City Square, LS1 5EB 1.30 – 3.30pm
We give a warm welcome to all asylum seekers and refugees. What we offer can be summarised as: Language – Activities – Welfare – Friendship. We offer guidance on learning English, and informal small group teaching, done by volunteers (not all are qualified teachers).
Recent activities :
- Outings to museums, theatre/music performances
- Improvisation theatre
- Days out in the Dales
- Craft sessions
- Encouragement to take up sports, eg cricket & football
We offer signposting to relevant agencies to help with problems relating to Home Office, housing, health, education, transport etc.
