Phoenix Project – helping displaced healthcare professionals find work and qualifications

The Phoenix Project Leeds (Registered charity no: 1191100). The Phoenix Project aims to support displaced healthcare professionals’ qualification to practice medicine in the UK through the provision of regular English Language teaching sessions and support with passing the OET exam necessary to work within the NHS. We also use these sessions to familiarise participants with the NHS and how it operates. Our sessions take place online via zoom.

The Phoenix Project was set up by medical students in Nottingham in 2019 and has been supporting displaced healthcare professionals in finding medical placements in the future ever since. We have been active in the Leeds area since 2020 and have helped several people pass the OET and move onto the next stage of their journey.

We currently have capacity for new participants, so if you know of anyone who you feel might benefit from this, please give them our email address: [email protected].
