Are you an artist or collective based in East Leeds and/or of migrant heritage who wants to create workshop/performance or installation as part of Mafwa Theatre’s Flourish 2023?
Mafwa Theatre is celebrating the launch of a new Garden of Sanctuary in the heart of our home, Lincoln Green.
To do this, we want to support 5 micro commissions of £500 each for artists of migrant heritage and/or living and working in East Leeds, to create a workshop, performance or installation that engages with nature in some way in our garden this Summer.
Could we fund you or do you know someone we could fund?
You don’t need to work in any specific artform and we are open to applications from artists at any stage of their careers. We are looking for proposals that deliver high quality arts engagement that encourage local residents to engage with nature in a new way.
