You are invited to the Migrant Voices of Leeds A day of information, engagement and action for migrants, to be held on Friday 7 July 2017 10am–5pm at Cockburn Community Centre, Old Cockburn Sports Hall, Primrose Lane, Leeds LS11 5EW.
The day will be a mix of providing information, mapping needs and giving a forum to voice concerns and make proposals from migrants themselves.
This information comes from Gabriella Alberti, Lecturer in Work and Employment Relations at Leeds University Business School. She and colleagues are working with the City Council’s Migrant Access Project and with the migrant networkers from a diverse range of communities of Leeds on a project called Migration, equality and social cohesion: promoting inter-community dialogue in times of change. The day is being organised as part of this project.
