Jobs: Solace Therapists x 2 – Leeds/Kirklees & Calderdale , minimum 2.5 days per week £32,910 pro rota

Solace is delighted to be recruiting more therapists to expand our clinical team.  If you are an experienced therapist, and you are interested in supporting refugees please take a look at the job description and person specification and see if you might be the right person for our team.  We offer a full induction and lots of support from a friendly team of staff and volunteers.  You will be joining a well established team of therapists in a respected organisation which works across the Yorkshire and Humber region.  Please get in touch if you have any questions about the role.

We are currently recruiting for two roles:

  1. We are looking for a therapist to work specifically with unaccompanied asylum seeking children.  This is a new role, and will be responsible for delivering a new project in partnership with The Children’s Society; The post will be based at Solace’s Leeds office and will be a combination of individual therapy for young people, and working with the Youth Worker from The Children’s Society to jointly deliver a wellbeing group.; This is a fixed term post until November 2023, and is for 2.5 days per week.  (there is some flexibility to increase this to 3 days if preferred)
  2. We are also looking for a therapist to expand the capacity we currently have for our services in Kirklees and Calderdale.  This role will be based at our Leeds office and at home initially with appointments in Calderdale delivered from the Elsie Whiteley Innovation Centre.  Our aim is to also provide a therapy space in Huddersfield in due course and the post holder will work from there for at least part of the week.  This role is to work with adult refugees and asylum seekers and we are looking to recruit up to full time hours.  We are interested to hear from applicants how many hours they would prefer to work, from a minimum of 2.5 days to a maximum of 5 days. The division of work between Kirklees and Calderdale will be decided when we have recruited, however most of the new work is expected to take place in Kirklees with a minority delivered in Calderdale.
