On Sunday 23rd April 2017, Leeds Street Team will be organising a Football tournament (Under 17’s) and fun day in memory of Irfan Wahid. As many of you will be aware, Irfan (Iffy) was tragically killed on the streets of Harehills on 10/02/17 at the age of 16.
In memory of Irfan, and to continue his legacy to act as a reminder of the dangers of knife and street crime, Leeds Street Team have organised and will host this event. Please see the attached poster for further information. We are keen for as many people and organisations to attend as possible. There is much media interest in the event already (BBC Radio Leeds and Look North will be covering the event) and this is a real opportunity to showcase the efforts of all those who work in Harehills.
