High Street Challenge webinar- 9th March

We’re holding a webinar on zoom on Thursday 9th March 12-1pm for campaigners to learn more about our latest campaign initiative, the High Street Challenge; share tips and tactics for winning local business support; and hear from our brilliant business allies who are already backing the campaign. You can register for the webinar here

Evidence of business support for the right to work in new IRC report

The International Rescue Committee has launched a new report, ‘From Harm to Home – How the UK government can strengthen refugee resettlement and integration’, which includes a section on the right to work and shares new polling carried out by YouGov revealing that a large majority of UK business decision makers support the right to work and believe a policy change would have a positive impact on the economy.

ITV news coverage of local business allies

Following these compelling polling results, ITV news ran pieces on Lift the Ban on their Midlands and North East regional news programmes. In the coverage, experts by experience shared the challenges of living under the ban, while local businesses explained why they support the right to work, including a construction company and our brilliant Lift the Ban business ally, Elder & Wolf restaurant, based in Whitley Bay. You can share the clips on twitter here and here, and download them from our coalition dropbox folder. You can also see Elder & Wolf’s post on their Facebook page here

We hope you can join us for the webinar on 9th March. Please don’t hesitate to ask if you need any campaign resources posting to you.
