Funding: Youth led projects addressing crime – High Sheriff of West Yorkshire Fund

Grant size and Deadline

Grants of £500 – £2,500 are available. The deadline to submit your application is 12 noon on Thursday 8th November.

Focus of the fund

The Fund wants to encourage young people aged 5-25 years to work together to prevent and combat crime to create safer communities.

Applications are requested from existing projects or community groups looking for continuation funding, or projects wanting to expand and develop their current activities and remit.

The idea for the project should either come from a young person (youth led), or where the project was developed by others (adult led) young people should have a significant role in its management and delivery. Find out more >>>

How to apply

  • You will need to complete an online application form; this involves answering questions about your organisation, the project you are applying for and impact achieved to date. You will also need to attach the following supporting documentation to the form:
  • List of names and addresses of management committee / board members / directors
  • Audited accounts or approved management accounts that are no more than 15 months old
  • Copy of governance document

All applications will be considered by an independent panel in a competitive process. Successful applicants will be required to submit a Funding Agreement and proof of your bank account details.
We aim to distribute funds to successful applicants in early January 2019 and any funding allocated should be spent by January 2020.
