Cultivating Courageous Conversations is an opportunity to explore these questions. It’s for people who recognise that including the wisdom of those who struggle against
poverty in decision making will make their organisation and/or community a healthier place. Throughout the
session we’ll explore the frameworks, techniques, and skills that help to enable deep conversations.

This learning space is a pilot session by Leeds Poverty Truth to explore whether some of what has been learnt through holding Commissions in the city might be beneficial to other organisations.
Numbers are limited and all we ask is for feedback to help us learn how we might do this better in the future Leeds Poverty Truth we have been thinking about how best to share some of the learning from the 3 and a bit commissions we have facilitated with a wider group of people in the city. One of the ways we are seeking to do this is by creating learning spaces to look at the understanding of poverty, the responses to it that have been developed and the practices we have used to do this. Our first learning space is going to look at cultivating courageous conversations focussing on how we might cultivate courage, trust and empathy so that we hear one another clearly and discover new possibilities together.

The date for it is Tuesday 18th June – 9:30-13:00 at Ague UK, LS2 8J. You can reserve your place here for the cost of £25.
