newtoleeds.org is a new website aimed at helping Migrants in Leeds to understand how the city works.
It offers a general guide to living in Leeds which is aimed at new migrants, to help them access key information and navigate the city’s services. It offers a mix of bite-sized information and signposting to other sites in 23 different languages.
Topics include Health, Housing, Benefits, Safety, Transport, Education, Work, Money and Living in your Neighbourhood
It’s been developed by Zoe Ward at Touchstone’s Migrant Access Project Plus and is a sister project to the Leeds Transition Guide for refugees (which will also be launched very soon).
Both New To Leeds and the Transition Guide have been funded by Leeds City Council’s Communities Team using money allocated from the Controlling Migration Fund.
