Launching ‘Welcome to Leeds’ – 3 short films made by young refugees for young refugees
As part of the child friendly ambition, Leeds City Council and The Children’s Society worked with young people to hear their voices and share their ideas about what is important for young people to hear in their first days in Leeds.
This partnership resulted in 3 short films for newly arrived young asylum seekers in Leeds, made in English, Arabic, and Vietnamese.
Introduction to ST4R (Stand Together 4 Refugees) – a group of young refugees who work together to represent the voices of young refugees in Leeds

This is event is for:
- Young people who might want to join ST4R (aged 16-25)
- Community members and professionals who support young refugees
- Anyone who helps young refugees when they have recently arrived in Leeds
- Anyone who wants to find out about the work we do in Leeds
Please get in touch if you have any barriers to attending and we will do our best to help. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide interpreters at this event.
