The Time to Shine Connections Projects aims to work with people from 50 years of age. We are looking to engage them in activities that will inspire them and hopefully reduce their social isolation and loneliness. We can FREE courses where we will come to you and work with your beneficiaries. We do ask beneficiaries if they could fill in an anonymous questionnaire on how doing activities may help them and what kind of activities they wish to be involved in. We can offer the following courses:
Gardening and Horticulture: an outdoor activity to improve health and provide a sense of achievement, working on site, poly-tunnel and in the community.
When we were young: a reminiscence group talking about the days gone by all caught on video for posterity.
Sewing by Hand and Machine Knit and Embroidery classes.
5 a side Football
Mindfulness
Cultural Activities
Photography: course teaching camera basics, photo composition, camera & the computer, best way to show and back up your photos.
Computer and IT skills: Beginners and Advanced.
Woodwork and Marquetry – teaching basics of working with wood veneer.
Potting & Planting – showing how best to grow small plants and herbs in pots
Video making – using a digital video camera, composition, lighting and shot angles.
