Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) has a vacancy for an exciting full-time position on a fixed term contract to 31 December 2017 (with the potential for extension subject to funding).

We are looking for a person who is confident working within the Third Sector across a wide range of organisations to ensure the voices of Leeds’ diverse communities are heard.

In return we can offer enrolment to Simply Health and a 5% non-contributory pension scheme. VAL is a Living Wage Employer and a Mindful Employer.

The successful candidate will work to continue to develop our existing Engaging Voices programme, which takes an asset-based approach to consultation and engagement through close partnership working with third sector organisations to deliver activities on behalf of the NHS and other statutory partners.

Working in this way means that the voices of people within marginalised and easy to ignore communities in Leeds are heard and able to shape the development of services. At the same time, the successful candidate will also work to develop and launch our new Working Voices programme on behalf of the three Leeds CCGs. Using the same asset-based model, this pilot project will seek to engage with some of the city’s major employers to ensure the voices of working people are also heard within consultation and engagement activities.

Businesses will work with us to offer micro-volunteering opportunities to their staff, through the completion of surveys and focus groups, which contribute towards their Corporate Social Responsibility targets.

This role is an excellent opportunity to work within the Third Sector across a broad range of partners in the voluntary, statutory and private sectors.

If you are interested in applying for the role, please review the job description, complete an application form and return to us by 9am on Monday 3 July.

Interviews will be held on Friday 7 July 2017.
