Young Migrant Health and Wellbeing Project

My name is Juliet Ngwenya and I am writing on behalf of Thrive With Us  a small charity that works with MAP, where we are currently running an exciting Young Migrant Health and Wellbeing Project. This initiative aims to provide vital support to young migrants in our community offering services such as mental health workshops, social support, and wellbeing activities.
We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us reach potential participants who will benefit from this project. We are happy to provide more information. Please find attached the details of the project.

Name Of Project: Health and Wellbeing Project for young migrant people.

Name of Organisation: Thrive with Us (working in collaboration with MAP)

Aims of the Project: To empower young migrant people by improving their physical, mental, and emotional well-being through enhanced access to health care services, tailored support, and inclusive approaches that dress their unique challenges, ultimately fostering resilience and a sense of community.

Objectives:

  1. To enhance the well-being of young migrant people.
  2. Increase awareness and access to health and well-being services.
  3. Work in collaboration with young migrant people to create inclusive, effective, and resilient approaches that benefit all.
  4. Educate and empower professionals so they have a better understanding of the specific issues faced by young migrant people, improving the relevance and support they provide.

We are inviting young migrant people to join us for a variety of fun filled activities dedicated to your health and well-being.

  • Venue: Hamara Healthy Living Centre’ Beeston Leeds
  • Start Date 28.09.24 – 02.11.24.
  • The project is run by qualified healthcare professionals with support from trained and experienced.
  • Transport costs will be provided.
  • Get a free hamper of your choice on your first and last session.
