Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2025 – Applications Now Open!
We’re excited to share that grants of up to £50,000 are now available to commemorate, educate, and celebrate the Windrush generation and their descendants. Funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) and administered by Near Neighbours, these grants will support events and activities in the lead-up to Windrush Day 2025 (22 June) and through to September.
Grants are open to community groups, charities, and local venues, with a focus on projects that:
- Educate people about the Windrush story.
- Celebrate the contributions of the Windrush generation and their descendants.
- Inspire young people’s skills and leadership.
- Bring communities together across backgrounds and generations.
Sarah Wallace, our Director of Programmes, says: “We believe that better relationships, knowledge and understanding help build better communities for everyone. It is a privilege to work on this project to support Windrush events and celebrate the Windrush generation; to remember and highlight their enormous contribution and inspire generations to come.”
