  • ASPEN – Majority of population now have new card but there are still a minority with activation issues.
  • Accommodation and intake – There has been a significant rise in weekly arrivals but the year to date figures remain normal.
  • Operation Oak – A number of hotels are closing in the coming weeks, notably Mercure hotels in Y&H. Message from Mears – Covid-19 updated details for VCS who conduct onsite in reach

Please see below from Mears:

Good afternoon,

I trust you are all well.  We have recently updated our Covid-19 contact detail platform and I would like to share these details with you to allow for you to update your IA contingency in reach Risk Assessment – if you do not already have the details.

We ask, should you or any volunteer develop COVID -19 symptoms after visiting a hotel they must inform Mears out of hours by emailing [email protected]We also ask that a register of all service users who attended any VCS class/workshops should be passed onto the resident welfare manager for our records, kindly drop a call or email to your Partnership Manger as a backup. This allows us to understand where a possible close contact has occurred and helps us manage on site response.

If this occurs in reverse and we are informed of risk in relation to Covid-19, we will of course contact you and ask for in reach and contact to be limited.

We are confident you have these details and are aware, this is a gentle reminder of them and to reiterate our continued commitment to keep everyone safe during this continued testing times.

Thank you as ever for all of your support – any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
