As you may be aware, LASSN opens its Volunteer Training programme to any volunteer in Leeds who wants to get better at what they do. A full list of upcoming training can be found here:
Our next event is on Safeguarding Adults & Children is on the evening of Wednesday 6th February 2019 18:00 – 20:00 at Oak House.
It’s aimed at volunteers who have not completed any safeguarding training within the last year. The focus will be on LASSN projects and LASSN policies and procedures, but these are all modelled on the Leeds Safeguarding Children Partnership and Leeds Safeguarding Adults Board model documents
This short course will enable you to
- Be aware of LASSN’s Safeguarding procedures and where to find them
- Recognise signs of abuse/neglect
- Understand how the experiences of seeking refuge may impact on safeguarding
- Know how and when to raise a safeguarding concerns within LASSN
