Thought Bubble Comic Art Festival is in Leeds from the 18th – 24th September this year with our huge comic con happening on the 23rd and 24th. There’s loads to see and do from themed talks, workshops, exhibitions and screenings to costume parades, interactive art and drawing walls! You can find our programme here. It’s free for under 12s and over 65s too.
We’ve got over 100 incredible international guest artists and writers coming along this year taking part in panels and sketching sessions, and more than happy to meet and talk to visitors.
These include Gerard Way, (curator of DC’s Young Animal, Umbrella Academy and former frontman of My Chemical Romance). Brian K. Vaughan (Saga, Ex-Machina, Lost (TV series), Y: The Last Man), Charlie Adlard (The Walking Dead, The X-Files, Mars Attacks), Sara Pichelli (Spider-man) and Jody Houser (Faith, Max Ride: Ultimate Flight, Orphan Black).
We also have 400+ small press independent artists, publishers and retailers, whose work shows the true diversity of comic books, graphic novel storytelling and illustration.
