The Hey Neighbour grants fund is now open

Hey Neighbour is about ideas that bring people together and help a community to grow. With thanks to #UKSPF

  • Grants of up to £500 for individuals.
  • Grants of up to £1,500 for community groups and small organisations.
  • Simple to apply.
  • Supporting both new and existing activity.

We are awarding around 20 grants:
10 x Small grants (up to £500)
10 x Larger grants (Up to £1,500)

Further info:

  • Individuals who are not part of a constituted group can apply for up to £500
  • Organisations with an annual income of less that £50,000 may apply for up to £1,500.
  • Organisations with an annual income of more than £50,000 are not eligible to apply.
  • All projects must have started by January 2025
  • We do not fund political or religious activities.
The Hey Neighbour project is being delivered by Leeds Older People’s Forum in partnership with Leeds City Council. It is part-funded by the UKShared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF). 
In West Yorkshire, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority leads the implementation of the Fund as part of the Mayor’s ambition to make West Yorkshire the best place to work, learn and live.’
The UK Shared Prosperity Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting localbusiness, and people and skills.
