We will be opening this year’s series on World Social Work Day with an exciting online panel event featuring guest speakers
- Nottingham East Labour MP Nadia Whittome,
- independent researcher and campaigner Zoe Gardner,
- Strategic Engagement Advisor Sabrina Huck and
- Migrants rights activist, Sipilien Birani.
The panel will share invaluable insight into the existing migration narrative within the current government, why it is so important that we disrupt this narrative and how we can create change through our use of language.

Whilst the training series targets specifically public authorities who are turned into “border guards” by the hostile environment, everyone is welcome 🙂
