Solace 15 Years Anniversary Fundraising Challenge

Our lovely friend and colleague, Sarah, who spends Monday to Friday working therapeutically with refugees and asylum seekers, is now spending her annual leave on an epic physical challenge to climb 15 peaks in 15 consecutive days, as part of Solace’s 15th anniversary celebrations – and in conjunction with this years’ Refugee Week campaign ‘We Cannot Walk Alone’.

I’m sure Sarah has heard some of the most harrowing personal journeys over the years, so it’s really important to her complete this challenge to walk in solidarity with the people she and all Solace therapists support.

She’s trying to raise a spot of money as well as awareness of our regional charity, so if you can spare anything, the charity promises to put it to good use.

There’s a few videos of Sarah’s training journey on the Just Giving page for context of  just how tough the challenge is.

[editor’s note: our editorial guidelines say we generally don’t do fundraising campaigns on the Blog. but you’re only 15 once, so we’re seeing this as story about a remarkable feat ].
