Smart Health Inclusion Peer AdvocateS (SHIPS) – Deadline January 31st 2022

Bevan’s successful SHIPS (Smart Health Inclusion Peer Advocates) programme is recruiting another cohort of volunteers to take part in training which enables them to become Peer Advocates with lived experience.

SHIPS are looking to recruit individuals who have lived experienced of being either homelessness, seeking asylum or have refugee status.  The peer support service aims to provide  one-to-one support  to enable people experiencing digital exclusion in Bradford and Leeds; to access the health and welfare services they need to be able to self-care.

Based on Groundswell’s Homeless Health Peer Advocacy service, SHIPS will be delivered by Bevan Healthcare in collaboration with Groundswell and 100% Digital Leeds.

Please see attached the poster and the youtube video featuring some of our advocates from Bradford and Leeds. https://youtu.be/0tQN8cX-dcI
