Do you ever find yourself spelling things out over the phone – A for Armley, B for Beeston, that kind of thing? If you do, you’ll know things get a bit tricky when you get to letters J, U, V and Z (there are no areas of Leeds beginning with those letters).
So here’s a really neat version of the phonetic alphabet that prints out nicely onto a side of A4, and uses words that everyone will recognise
