Resource of the week #33: Metcalf Smith Trust – help for people with disabilities or long term illness

Metcalfe Smith Trust makes Grants to individuals and organisations where the grant will make a significant to individuals and organisations affected by mental or physical disability or long-term illness.

Grants are usually between £250 and £2500.

Grants can be made for convalescent or respite care; for purchasing necessary equipment and household items and for meeting other costs which living with disabilities inevitably incur.

The Trust can also make small emergency grants in between Trustee meetings (up to £150).

They are celebrating their 150th year and have just launched a new website. This includes full details, the application form (next deadline 15th October) and contact details.
