Vulnerable people seeking sanctuary in the UK are being left homeless and hungry, according to new research released by Refugee Action. Their findings show that many are being wrongly denied support or are suffering long delays to get the support they are entitled to. It’s unacceptable that paperwork delays and poor decision-making should have such dire consequences for these vulnerable individuals.
Tell the Home Office and Home Secretary, Amber Rudd MP, that people seeking sanctuary deserve dignity not destitution. We need our decision-makers to feel public pressure so that they are compelled to address the gaps in the asylum system. Encourage your friends and family to do so too!
