As you may already be aware, we have some external visitors planning to join us this time.
We have Beauty Tshuma, North East Migration Officer, North East Migration Partnership from Middlesbrough Council and Janjalloh Mohamed and Arooba Hameed, both members of the Health Working Group of the Regional Refugee Forum North East.
They would like to join us to see how the Network works, and to find out what challenges organisations have identified in supporting refugees and asylum seekers with their mental health, what has worked well, and any examples of joined up working we can share.
They will be sharing with us what they are doing in the North East, in particular a Working Group which involves refugees and asylum seekers in having a voice around mental health with decision makers and practitioners.
Please also note we have changed venue for this meeting – we will be at Oak House, Park Lane, so they can see how organisations are based together in the same building and so if any of you who are based there would like to have a longer chat with them after you can do so.
