Prostate Cancer Community Champion Training Opportunity

The Leeds Cancer Programme have been approached by the Men’s Health charity Orchid who have some funding to train community champions in Leeds to raise awareness of Prostate Cancer and cascade vital information about its signs, symptoms, risk factors, etc. The funding will cover the costs of attending training and any expenses incurred by participants.

This training is open to a wide range of people across Leeds and we are particularly keen for members of the asylum seeking community to take part and to increase their knowledge of prostate cancer. Hopefully this will enable more prostate cancers to be detected early within this community and to improve the outcomes for asylum seekers with prostate cancer.

A session for interested parties to ask questions and gather further information is planned for 6th September- if you would like to dial in or if you need any further information please contact [email protected]
