Thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts following our recent consultation on the LMP Operations Meeting. We had a small but insightful set of responses, and here’s a quick summary of what we heard — along with some recommendations for next steps.
Graphs and specific feedback can be found here
🕙 Meeting Time
- Most respondents (4 out of 6) said Monday mornings work well.
- A few suggested alternatives like Tuesdays, Thursdays, or rotating the day to suit more diaries.
✅ Recommendation: Keep Monday mornings as the default for now, but consider trialling an occasional rotation to improve accessibility.
📍 Meeting Location
- The Leeds Refugee Forum (LRF) remains a popular venue – most felt it’s still a good place to meet.
- Views on moving meetings around the city were mixed: some are open to it, while others prefer to keep things central.
✅ Recommendation: Continue using LRF as the main location, but explore occasional meetings in other venues to increase reach and engagement across the city.
🏠 Hosting Future Meetings
- Only one respondent offered a possible venue (Mill Hill Chapel).
- Most others said their organisations weren’t currently in a position to host.
✅ Recommendation: Keep an open call for hosts, especially for larger or themed meetings, and consider a rotating co-host model for shared responsibility.
💬 Other Feedback
- One respondent asked for more interactive formats, as long meetings can be hard to focus on.
- Another was keen to reconnect with Leeds organisations after time away — a great reminder of the value of these gatherings.
✅ Recommendation: Try breaking up future meetings with small group discussions, practical activities, or shorter agenda items to keep things engaging.
