Leeds stands Together with Refugees – event at Mill Hill Chapel Friday 22nd October 2021

On Friday, the Conversation Club Leeds, Mafwa Theatre &  Asylum Matters are holding an event in Leeds as part of the national Week of Action in support of refugees and against the Nationality and Borders Bill, which seeks to criminalise and punish those who need our protection.

Come and join us for a gathering in the heart of Leeds to show our city welcomes refugees and stands against this cruel, inhumane legislation.

Leeds has a long and proud history of welcoming refugees. This legislation is not who we are.

We will meet on Friday 22nd October at 5.30pm at Mill Hill Chapel in City Square (LS1 5EB)

Attendees are invited to bring their own orange hearts, or sign ours, with messages of welcome, and attach them to the railings outside the Mill Hill Chapel. We will then take a group photo to ‘show our hearts’.

All are welcome. Please contact Mary at [email protected]/07557 982 498 with any questions.

Please let us know if you need support to travel to the event.

We will upload a flyer that can be shared on social media soon https://togetherwithrefugees.org.uk/
