From Dave Patterson

“I can confirm that Leeds Asylum Seeker Support Network (LASSN) will be hosting the rescheduled Homelessness / Migration working group which didn’t happen in March due to the snow.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday 23rd May, 13:30 – 15:00 at Oak House, Leeds, LS3 1EL.

Jon from LASSN will be co-chairing the meeting with someone with direct experience of asylum destitution*

Key discussions will include:
– Hearing from peoples experiences of coming from abroad and experiencing homelessness in the UK.
– Sustaining and increasing existing accommodation Provision.
– Developing Relationships with the Home Office.
– Utilising different forms of media to help raise awareness amongst the public regarding the problems associated with Migration to the UK and Homelessness.

If you have any Refugees / Europeans / Migrant Workers who have lived experience of homelessness then please invite them along to contribute and take part in the discussion.

Please email me if you’d like to attend.”

*Please note: Jon is being shadowed by a Home Office employee that day, and they will be present at this session.
