Leeds Hardship Fund to go live in December 2018

Most of you will know about the Leeds Hardship Fund – which operates each winter to try and offset the worst of the seasonal challenges faced by destitute asylum seekers.

The fund provides small subsistence donations to destitute asylum seekers who have no income at all (for a single person, £25 per week, usually for 4 weeks). This provides a vital lifeline to people in desperate situations and can mean the difference between a meal and nothing to eat.

All referrals to the fund need to come from either

  • PAFRAS
  • British Red Cross
  • York St Health Practice
  • Meeting Point
  • Solace
  • LASSN
  • RETAS
