Bradford Rape Crisis & Sexual Abuse Survivors Service are recuiting

Post 1: Refugee, Asylum Seeking and Trafficked Women’s Caseworker.
(28 hours per week, worked over 4 days to include Mondays)
Who are we looking for?
In this role, you will ensure the provision of high-quality, person-centred, advice and advocacy support for women in a range of complex and crisis related situations. Reporting to the Advocacy Lead, you will work closely with colleagues as part of a diverse and dynamic team, and liaise with other agencies to get the best outcomes for our service users. The role involves a combination of face to face in person, on line and telephone work with women.
The role might be for you if… you understand, and can advocate on behalf of clients regarding issues relating to refugees and vulnerable migrants (including rights and entitlements). You have experience providing sensitive, safe and empowering support to distressed people in vulnerable situations. You’re a team player who’s comfortable within what can sometimes be a busy and demanding environment.

Post 2: Sexual Violence Prevention Worker
(21 hours per week to include Mondays)
Who are we looking for?
In this role you will develop and deliver workshops for students in schools, develop prevention programmes with community groups, train and support co-facilitators, develop and produce publicity materials and support survivors to have a voice and become leaders in the response to sexual violence.
The role may be for you if…. you have a passion for working with young people and community groups, you work well with other colleagues and agencies to maximise the impact of the work and you have the ability to use a participatory, trauma informed approach to facilitation.

Refugee, Asylum Seeking and Trafficked Women’s Caseworker.

(28 hours per week, worked over 4 days to include Mondays)

Both posts is based at our Bradford City Centre office/working from home /other locations as required

The starting salary for both posts is NJC scale point 22 (currently £27,040) pro rata

PLEASE NOTE: BRC & SASS offers services to women and girls who have experienced sexual violence within a women-only safe space.  It is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, part 1) for this post to be filled by a woman.
