The Children and Families Wellbeing Project at Solace is recruiting Family and Children’s Therapists to support refugees in Yorkshire and Humberside:
The Children and Families Wellbeing Project is jointly funded from September 2018 to March 2020, through Migration Yorkshire (by the Home Office and Yorkshire and Humber Local Authorities) as part of the National Syrian Resettlement Programme.
This is a new project delivered in partnership between Migration Yorkshire, and three charitable organisations who are already very experienced in delivering therapy to refugees. Haven (Hull, North and North East Lincs, East Riding and Scarborough), Refugee Council (South Yorkshire) and Solace (West and North Yorkshire).
Successful applicants will be at the forefront of a newly developing service offering therapeutic support to vulnerable refugee children and their families. Post holders will also be supporting schools by assessing short/longer term needs through agreed care plans and strategies.
Closing date: 9am on Monday the 24th of September.
