Refugee Council are looking to recruit sessional interpreters who can speak Pashtu and/or Dari languages.
The nature of the work:
- Facilitating communication between clients, advisors and agencies by providing consistent, effective and high quality interpreting services in an environment that is at times highly pressurised.
- Providing off-site interpreting services between Refugee Council clients and other agencies as required.
- Remaining aware of the purpose and context in which interpreting services are provided and respecting and working within appropriate boundaries as defined by the organisation.
- Assisting in the production and dissemination of appropriate information by proof reading translated documents.
Hours will vary. We’re looking for people with high level of English as well as Pashtu/Dari to work with newly arrived families.
Successful candidates will need to have a satisfactory basic DBS check unless they are signed up to the Update Service
